Yes, another tradeshow. Tradeshows are a golden opportunity to meet potential clients and develop a relationship based on trust. They give you a chance to talk to potential customer's outside of the office. Our Company has benefited greatly from attending tradeshows, especially last week's National Pavement Expo and this year's IREM Show.
The 2012 IREM Tri-State Conference & Expo has come to a close. This year's show was held at the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. Approximately 100 companies exhibited at the event. For a complete list of exhibitiors, click here.
The show featured numerous educational seminars and networking opportunities. Some sessions that stood out:
- "Stop Driving With Your Eyes Closed": In order for your business to reach its full potential, you must know where to focus your attention. This session gave you the tools on how to do just that.
- Social Networking Tools for Real Estate Professionals: Technology can be overwhelming, yet it is vital in order for our businesses to grow. This seminar briefly introduced the concept of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google. Social Media will only enhance your position in the market place. Also, a brief overview of the internet marketing laws were prodvided.
- Lead Paint Safety: Discussed the latest ammendments to the EPA and RRP regulations. It is important to be up-to-date in order to avoid those steep fines.
Attendees also had a few hours to walk the tradeshow floor and network with business professionals to discuss topics such as sweeping, and property maintenance. Many booths raffled off prizes to grab customers' attention. In addition, door prizes were donated by numerous businesses and raffled off. Bill Stilwell, Levin Management, won a $50 gift card good at four different restaurants! Additional networking opportunities were also provided at the MIXX Night Club and at the morning breakfast.
