C&L is Among Top 100 Contractors According to Pavement Magazine.

Pavement Magazine has published that their research shows that C&L Sweeping is among the Top 100 Contractors in the United States, based on annual sales volume. This ranking is an accomplishment that highlights the company's strength and position at a national level.

New Jersey Chapter of American Public Works Association Named C&L Sweeper Service as their Contractor of the Year.

Gabe Vitale, the vice president of C&L Sweeper Service Corp. (Jackson, NJ), and a member of the Shore Builders Association, was named "Contractor of the Year," by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

This APWA award signifies that the recipient has consistently delivered exceptional levels of superior service to both private and public sector customers.

The award is normally presented to construction contractors who have completed high profile construction projects under particularly difficult situations.

"Giving real value, in addition to good service, and always trying to assist public works departments in their sweeping programs, were major reasons why we were selected for this honor," said Vitale. "When we can help them show a cost savings in their budget, as well as well-swept streets, it is a win-win situation for everyone."

The Shore Builders Association is affiliated with the New Jersey Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.

C&L Sweeper Service is Certified Through NAPSA

To date, fewer than 1% of U.S. sweeping contractors have qualified for the prestigious Certified Contractor Status through the North American Power Sweeping Association.

The certification process requires a rigorous professional examination of the entire company to prove adherence to the highest standards in the power sweeping industry.

C&L Sweeper Service is, to date, the only New Jersey-based sweeping contractor to win this coveted level of professional certification.

Gabriel Vitale Received the First American Sweeper Magazine Award of Excellence

In recognition of the tremendous effort he made during his two years as president of NAPSA (North American Power Sweepers' Association), and for his other contributions to the sweeping industry, the editorial board of American Sweeper Magazine (now WorldSweeper.com) chose Gabriel Vitale as the first recipient of its Awards of Excellence. Ranger Kidwell-Ross, the magazine's editor, presented Vitale with a commemorative certificate at the NAPSA breakfast at the 1995 National Pavement Maintenance Exposition in Atlanta.

Except for a seven-year sabbatical during which time he also earned a degree in marketing at Arizona State, Gabriel has been, in his own words, ". . .in the sweeping business since grammar school."

"When I first started in this business we were a three sweeper operation; we've been fortunate to have grown tremendously over the years. I can attribute a good portion of our success to what I have gained through networking with other members of NAPSA. I soon realized others in the business shared some of the same problems, and there were people out there who had the answers. It became my intent to make NAPSA an association with so much to offer others in the sweeping industry that they couldn't afford not to belong."
